One of the main goals for every language learner is to be able to speak the language properly. When it comes to learning English, everyone is encouraged to learn the language from the earliest stage of education. It is believed that the earlier people learn a foreign language, the easier it is for them to grasp and master it. Since English is not frequently used on a daily basis, it is suggested that teachers should encourage the students to produce as much of the language as possible so that they are confident to apply it outside the classroom. Therefore, an English Teacher plays a very important role in students’ language learning process to make sure that their language is well-developed.

There are several ways for teachers to apply in the classroom in order to create an encouraging atmosphere for students to produce the most amount of language. They are:

1. Appreciate them by giving positive reinforcement
   This method is best applied to students who are shy or hesitant to speak by giving positive reinforcement to appreciate their effort. Instead of giving them pressure to speak, appreciating them for speaking out would encourage them to speak more in the future. To begin with, teachers have to make sure the class is comfortable for everyone.
   When a passive student eventually speaks, give them  warm feedback and show your appreciation.

2. Always respond to them to show that you understand
   It is suitable for beginner learners. On application, teachers must respond to any word they are producing so that the students are motivated by the feedback. If students make grammatical or pronunciation mistakes, teachers repeat with the correct form and explain ways to avoid the same mistakes again, so that they can learn and minimize the error.

3. Choose the right activities
   

   When it comes to teaching kids English, teachers must be able to make the students produce the language as much as possible. One of the ways to achieve this objective is by doing activities to enhance their speaking ability. Choosing the right activity, such as role-playing, can increase the production level significantly, because teachers can incorporate the topic/scenario that ebay suits the students’ interest.

To sum up, it can be tricky to teach speaking, especially when the students are shy or don't have the skills just yet. They can be passive due to their past mistakes and embarrassment. To make sure students' language production is optimum, teachers must be able to make sure the students are comfortable with the classroom atmosphere, and well motivated, so that they’re not afraid to make mistakes and learn from it. Confidence will build up naturally over time, alongside fluency and accuracy.
