In English First SWARA the future is not something to wait for but something to shape today.

Selected candidates from across our ten centres joined us on Thursday 12 th December to take part in the inaugural Future Leaders Seminar , conducted by Swara's Lead Senior Teaching Managers and HRD Manager.

Participants started the day by being tasked with working with Centre Directors and Senior Teaching Managers from other centres and analyzing customer facing procedures. The discussion topics included; classroom procedures, potential parent seminars and student focused surveys. Candidates worked to understand the benefits of undertaking such procedures and ultimately appreciate the best ways to accomplish said tasks.

Candidates learnt the value of team meetings and feedback. They were taught about applying action plans for teachers which were Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and time bound. Throughout it all the participants were amazed by the time bending skills demonstrated by the group’s current Centre Directors and Senior Teaching Managers.

Participants also learnt more about the individual characteristics they would need to establish as they moved around their centres. Responsibilities; such as communicating with other departments, analyzing communications with parents and students alike and motivating and developing junior teachers. I believe all participants would agree that it was a fascinating seminar which really helped shed light on their roles as they make their own way up the career ladder.
