EF SWARA has a commitment to working alongside teachers to develop them both in the practical aspects of teaching English as a foreign language as well as enabling them the theoretical knowledge with which to create their base. EF SWARA prides itself on its development program. On a day to day basis teachers’ development is balanced between our company created LMS (Learning Management System) platform and practical action plans derived from observations and previous training sessions.
Balancing the practical aspects of development with the theoretical, EF SWARA offers the opportunity for its teacher to undertake an official formal exam. Through Cambridge English, EF SWARA is in a position to regularly have its teachers complete the Teacher Knowledge Test: Young Learner Module. This funded fully by EF SWARA is an excellent opportunity to gain a formal qualification in ESL as well as learn deeper about the chosen subject matter.
On January 30th 2020, EF SWARA’s most recent round of testing took place in its EF Kids and Teens Centre, BSD City. The TKT: YL focuses predominantly on the teaching of children under 12 years of age.
As summarized one the Cambridge English website, the TKT: YL is an exam for teachers and classroom assistants who want to teach English to young learners. It tests knowledge of concepts related to young learner learning and development, and knowledge of young learners from a teaching perspective, including the planning, teaching and assessment of young learners’ work.
